The NHS does not cover some of the services we provide and for these we charge a fee. From 1 May 2007 we have been obliged to charge VAT for some - but not all - of these certificates and services. This is the result of a European Court ruling, following a case brought by a Belgian Flight Surgeon. Unfortunately HM Revenue and Customs were slow to decide which fees are VATable and which are not. It has also been difficult to find out the information. So we think that this published list of fees is correct, but anticipate that there may still be some changes.
