The GP walk ins are each morning from 8 am to 10am and each afternoon (apart from Thursday) from 3.30.pm to 6pm.

There is also another GP on duty seeing patients in appointments at the same times.

We prefer that you book an appointment over the phone in advance where you can.

The rota of which doctor is doing walk ins and which doctor is doing appointments each day is currently being amended and will be published on this page shortly.

Nurse Availability

When We Are Closed

Emergency care is available 24 hours a day. Access to both in-hours (08:00 – 18:30, Monday to Friday, except Bank Holidays) and out-of-hours services (i.e. all other times including weekends and Bank Holidays) is by telephoning the Surgery telephone number: 01845 577297.

NHS North Yorkshire and York are responsible for the provision of the out-of–hours services. Details of out-of-hours consultations are passed to us for inclusion in your medical records and also retained by the out-of-hours service.  

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
